A new urban district is being created in and around the Olympic Park, and the Legacy Corporation is leading this highly complex and challenging process.
Maternity Cover – 6 month fixed term contract
£37,494 per annum
The Design team plays a pivotal role in all the activities of the Legacy Corporation, which cover a range of scales and types of activity ranging from developing the vision and strategies to advising on building design to commissioning design teams and delivering new infrastructure such as parks and bridges. The Design team are looking for a talented individual to provide support in a creative and challenging directorate.
Supporting the Chief of Design and Head of Design to deliver effective design function and ensuring high quality design is consistently provided across the Legacy Corporation.
You will be responsible for providing high quality professional advice and guidance on architectural, landscape and urban design aspects of projects both inside the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and in the surrounding neighbourhoods. You will also lead and manage the development and delivery of projects, focusing on the design aspects and always reflecting best practice to deliver exemplary projects that comply with the Corporation’s policy, procedures and standards.
You will provide design coordination for strategies and programmes being developed by the neighbouring boroughs, support the development of the Legacy Communities Scheme and follow up on recommendations of relevant design panels.
- Post-graduate degree and/or professional qualification in Architecture
- Track record of success in working within the design and construction arenas. Proven success in leading and delivering projects in architecture, Urban Design and Landscape disciplines.
- Experience of delivering complex design projects with a range of stakeholders
