Architect | Kent | £35,000 - £40,000pa

We are working with a medium sized studio who are looking for a technically strong, architect to join their Residential project team. The studio is based in Kent and collaborates on projects with the London office, therefore travel and progression to the London office is possible.

As a Design-led studio, the ideal candidate will be able to confidently show their ability of contemporary Architecture Design and have experience of working throughout the full project cycle. This is a company which will require Technical knowledge and a sound understanding preparing drawing packages.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with Senior Architects on Planning, Design and Construction drawings
  • Work with a team of Architectural Technicians collaborating with them on Technical and Construction drawings
  • Work on your own projects within a larger scheme, reporting your work to a Senior Architect for approval
  • Visit project sites and prepare surveys, liaising with contractors and managing workflow as required
  • Have a passion for design and an interest in developments within the residential and hospitality sectors

RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

The following requirements are essential to this position:

  • At least 1 year UK experience working on Residential projects
  • An excellent understanding of UK planning regulations, building codes and regulations
  • Have experience preparing and winning planning applications
  • ARB registered Architect
  • Relevant software knowledge with a thorough understanding of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
  • A portfolio of design work that communicates your experience of the above

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

The following experience is non-essential but will be advantageous to the role:

  • Proficient experience across all project stages and a portfolio that supports concept and delivery experience
