Senior Architectural Technician
An opportunity for a motivated, thorough and meticulous Architectural Technician arisen within a rapidly growing National House Builder, as they look to maintain their leading position around the high end spec build Market.

You will be joining a strong team of experienced Design and Technical professionals in the production of design information. Each Technical drawing has one dedicated Technician and responsible for ensuring the precision and accuracy of information produced. Your day-to-day role will be typical of an Architectural Technician within a house builder, including:
Produce accurate planning and technical information as required and within agreed timescales;
Be conversant with all current building regulations, procedures, construction methods, materials costs and general market conditions in relation to Company products;
Prepare and obtain relevant approvals for ancillary and associated drawings;
Design and adapt house types, apartments, site layouts and detail drawings for both residential and social housing schemes.
Design innovative solutions to counter unique land conditions;
Challenge the norm with a view to introduce solutions that improve efficient of drawing or commerciality of product.
Communicate effectively with all relevant departments in writing, verbally and in presentation format;
Establish and maintain strong and respected working relationships with internal departments, local authorities and companies throughout the region;
Co-ordinate and liaise with internal departments and provide accurate and timely information.
The ideal and successful candidate will:
- Have either a HNC/HND in Construction or Building studies OR degree in Architectural Technology;
- Be affiliated with or a member of CIAT;
- Have a minimum of 5yrs professional UK experience as a Technician ensuring fluency with UK Building Regulations;
- Ideally, you will have experience within the residential sectors to fully appreciate complexities;
- Awareness of CfSH, LTH, SAP etc.
