An exciting role for an experienced Technical Manager with an established residential developer is open to candidates who are able to show a desire to develop further within the business.

You will be able to take on the Technical requirements of the role, working on a variety of projects across the South West and Hampshire region, within a small team, reporting into the Technical Director.

Our client is a successful residential developer based on the South Coast. They have a number of projects currently going through planning as well as starting out on site.

As part of the technical team you will be integral in making sure these plans and sites go ahead as smoothly as possible. They have an established business with a strong history in this market.

Their product is top level and they have an excellent image across the market both from customers and competitors. They have grown the business over more than 50 years from a family run enterprise to now one of the most successful builders in the UK.


Technical Manager - Established House Builder - role working close to Ringwood along the South Coast within the Building and Construction industry.

This role is open to candidates of varying levels of experience but you should be able to complete or have experience completing the following requirements:

  • To brief, appoint, manage and drive the external consultants in the preparation and issue of production information to an agreed programme date.

  • To keep the Technical, Commercial & Managing Director appraised of all projects run.

  • Coordinating with the Housing Association Providers and Clerk of Works, to incorporate employer's requirements into the design information and on going communication including site meetings etc.

  • Completing Code for sustainable homes applications and gaining certification through Stroma or the BRE, largely works up to code 3.

  • Production of any working drawings / conveyance plans etc. as required.

  • Oversee the NHBC and Building Regulation applications to approval.

  • Producing planning drawings / layouts to enable planning application submissions and also arranging any minor amendments.

  • Clearance of planning and building control conditions.

  • Monitor and control all information issued to ensure tight cost controls are retained and information produced in line with budget estimates.

  • Attending monthly site coordination meetings with site manager, Quantity Surveyor, Contracts Manager & Buyer.

  • To ensure all service enquiries, crossovers and sewer connections are submitted and pursued for their timely return.

  • General liaison and co-ordination between other parties both internal and external.

  • Oversee the preparation of sales brochure plans, conveyance plans & technical specifications.

  • Overseeing developments from the initial planning application stage to build completion.


The selected Technical Manager - Established House Builder - for this role in Ringwood will be a driven, self-starter able to oversee more junior members of the team.

Reporting into the Technical Director you will have overall responsibility for the less experienced staff in the team and will need to maintain attention to detail, ensuring all drawings and works are correct and have been organised fully.

You will need to be able to show a level of maturity in the role as well as offer advice and guidance when needed. The team is well established and you should be able to slot into the business, working well in the team but also able to work well independently.
