Mid-weight Retail Designer
Your new company
Your new company has a vibrant, creative and established design team with diverse clients ranging from top retail names to smart casual f&b concepts. Your new studio is strongly client and brand focussed, priding themselves to create unique concepts. They've been successful getting in some great international and national retail business, for which they need a creative Mid-weight Retail Designer to assist in this exciting time.
Your new role
You'll be part of a design team working for a major retail client who is one of the world's oldest and best-known retailers in their sector. They are expanding their national and international portfolio of stores, for which this studio is helping them as a design consultant. You'll be involved in the concept design and be involved in detailing, though you have a CAD team on board. You'll be managing the design process from concept to completion and deal with multiple projects at the same time. You'll be reporting to the experienced team leader, however in absence need to be able to lead a small team and confidently carry yourself in front of the client. You'll also travel to sites abroad.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll have 3-5 years of experience within a retail design team and love to think creatively; passionate about design. Your experience working with multiple and varied design projects/clients from concept to completion and client facing experience, will make you successful. You'll also be experienced on-site to resolve any queries and issues at hand. You'll want to join a firm for the long-run, be very proactive with your own development and be a motivated self-starter. A positive and flexible attitude to travel is a must. You'll confidently use AutoCAD, however Revit is a great plus.
