This friendly practice is conveniently located near Hamersmith in London. They are looking for a Senior Architect with specialised experience in conservation architecture to join their growing team.

Candidates should have/be:
- knowledge in historic building repair works
- good eye for historic design and an understanding of contractual procedures
- able to oversee projects from conception through to completion
- proficient in AutoCAD and Photoshop
- effective sketching skills
- AABC or RIBA Conservation accreditation would be an advantage
- excellent written and presentation skills as well as competence in the use of Office Package is essential.

The company is looking to strengthen the London office in terms of both a day to day management capacity and expertise in heritage architecture and consultancy. The role is due to expansion of the office and has stemmed from the fact that the London office is so busy with both repeat business and new enquiries. This person will sit alongside the current management and will have strategic input into the direction the company takes. Main duties and responsibilities: * Lead the preparation and development of drawn and written documentation. * Liaising with Clients and Consultants. * Attend client meetings (can be across the UK). * Responsibility for negotiating fees and contracts on business coming into the practice. * Responsible for allocation of resources internally. * Provide mentoring and advice to other more junior members of the office when required. Person Specification * Successful candidates should have excellent communication skills, strong design skills with an eye for detail and willingness to lead. * UK registered with proven experience in all areas of planning and conservation * Possess a sound knowledge of UK planning legislation relating to the historical environment * Have a proven track record in conservation (ideally a minimum of 5+ years), including historic building and area analysis, visual impact assessments, feasibility studies, condition surveys and providing expert advice. * Have a good eye for historic design in regards to building repair works and an understanding of contractual procedures in order to enable them to oversee projects from conception to completion. * Excellent written and presentation skills, including report writing. * Experience of management and leading small teams. * Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, AutoCAD & Photoshop. * Proactive and passionate about this niche * Fully ARB registered. Management responsibilities: This person will take on shared responsibility as one of the most senior individuals in the London office.
