Following a number of exciting new instructions and continued growth we are now seeking an urban designer/masterplanner to join our dynamic and growing team in Cirencester.

As a masterplanner you would benefit from working within an environmentally conscious multi-disciplinary company where the culture promotes openness, trust and enjoyment. We are a privately owned company which actively promotes a small-team culture and encourages individual creative flare, based within an inspirational and healthy office environment in the picturesque Cotswold countryside.

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and highly organised team player with a good working knowledge of urban design issues and a genuine interest in the environment. Our ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years post qualification experience gained in a design practice working on urban design and masterplanning projects at a variety of scales. You will have first class computer and graphic skills, confident presentation and negotiation ability, an understanding of housing layouts and some experience of other environmental disciplines would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be able to visually communicate using a range of medium including AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up and hand drawing. Working knowledge of GIS software would be an advantage. The role will include the production of all typical masterplanning services, including: feasibility appraisals; concept schemes; urban design appraisals; morphology studies; preparation of public consultation materials and stakeholder events; Design and Access Statements and masterplans.

You will have the opportunity to develop your masterplanning and project management skills by working closely with our existing team of experienced masterplanners and learning directly from the other core disciplines within the company. We firmly believe in supporting and developing its team members and considers this role a significant opportunity for someone to assist us in growing our masterplanning team and to see their own career progress as a result.

Salary is dependent on skillset and forms part of an excellent benefits package including pension, private health insurance, 30 days annual leave allowance (+ bank holidays) as well as profit share bonus scheme.
