Architectural Technician required for large property consultancy in Manchester.

This major UK property consultancy has an office in Manchester City Centre which is within walking distance of Piccadilly Railway and Tram station. The firm have a broad portfolio of property, particularly in the North West, and are well respected for their continued success and profitability. They have a good reputation for staff welfare and career development, and with this role they are looking to further grow their Property & Design team.

Your new role
this role will involve working within a team of Architectural Technician, Interior Design, and Professional Surveying staff to assist them in the refurbishment and redevelopment of mainly commercial office interiors schemes, You will be conducting measured site surveys. and assisting with the layout work to enable schemes to gain client approval. The role will involve the production of technical working drawing packages for construction purposes, as well as producing 2D and 3D visuals to enable the client to visualise the finished space.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a degree in Architecture Technology (or equivalent) at minimum 2.1 level. Previous experience in the industry is essential, as is AutoCAD proficiency, knowledge of Google SketchUp, and a sound understanding of UK Building regulations as they apply to workplace/fit out projects. Knowledge of Revit would be desirable, but not essential. You will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and be able to represent the company professionally in front of clients.
