Your new company
This firm is a market leader within the construction building sector, with offices spread internationally. Their key product includes a patented building technology which speeds up the building time rapidly. Currently projects include student accommodation, residences and hospitality, with high demand for expansion and projects in the pipeline. Due to an ambitious growth plan, a Design Manager is needed to assist their London based office.
Your new role
You'll be working as Design Manager, on the London team, and use your construction background to design and create concepts for the client. You'll be educating the client on how the company's building systems are implemented and are the middle man between multiple parties to act as expert on behalf of the firm. You'll be liaising with the client's design team of architects, engineers and sub-contract specialists. You will come on board on a permanent basis.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll have extensive experience within the construction industry and are currently already a Design Manager, or an ambitious Design Coordinator. Your experience in the construction or/and architectural industry will help you to have a practical approach and deal with contractors on-site efficiently. Experience with modular building systems is useful, but not essential. You'll have excellent communication and confident presentation skills, in order to effectively conduct ongoing communication and client meetings. You'll need to be flexible in regards to occasional international travel. You'll be a solutions driven individual whom is fully versed in AutoCAD.
