Your new company
Your new employer are a high profile and well-recognised travel and tourism sector organisation based in East Grinstead, East Sussex. They operate as a members club, run by and for their members with a huge number of sites across the UK. They are £100million turnover business and have been well established for over 100 years. During this time they have continuously developed and expanded both sites and the culture of their business to stay in tune with what their members want. They employ over 900 workers with 300 being based at their head office which has exceptional transport links both by road or train.

Your new role
As a result of both this rapid growth and their commitment to their members, an outstanding job opportunity exists for either an experienced candidates or those with both the attitude and skill set to be molded into a proven and long term addition the Estates team. The new development manager post will require considerable commitment to the 200 + sites that your employer is responsible across the UK. Your role will extend to a wide variety of projects on each of these sites, including an exciting new residential proposal being tested. Working alongside project briefs in liaison with Regional Managers, you will help ensure the design and execution of development schemes is in accordance with the needs of The Club and its members. You will work up finished drawings using Autocad for planning, contract documentation and tendering purposes. You will prepare draft committee reports and supervise works in progress on designated projects ensuring compliance with allocated budgets and liaise with external consultants as necessary.

What you need to succeed
The ideal candidates will come from an Architectural, Construction or Project Managing background, with the ability to work in AutoCAD, although basic skills will suffice. You should have some experience dealing with contractors and ideally managing a project, although training and development will be offered for the right candidates. Typical value of these projects is up to £300k, but could be anywhere in the UK, so willingness to travel and a clean full driving license is essential. You should be a team player, with an obvious passion for delivering customer service and be analytical with an ability to understand and carry out tasks quickly and efficiently.
