Award Winning contractor in North Wales require a Design Manager to hit the ground running

This company is a modern, well known construction company based in North Wales, delivering projects across the North West of England and Wales for over 30 years. This award winning contractor have been at the forefront of innovative construction, providing a fully managed construction service to their clients, repeatedly exceeding their expectations. They work on a number of projects across the various sectors, both public and private sector, from education and healthcare to hospitality, leisure and heritage.
Your new role
You will be managing the design stage consultation, liaison processes and manage the planning application process/ discharge of conditions, where relevant to the contract. You will be producing design programmes for the various stages- tender, pre-start and delivery. You will assist with identifying opportunities to amend the design to achieve cost savings/ reduction in on-site time frames.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be an enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills, and want to work as part of a face-paced company working well under pressure providing support to both estimating and delivery teams. Ideally you will have come from a construction background with experience working on a number of education and healthcare projects. However this is not essential, they are also welcoming senior Architectural Technicians/ Architects that are looking to get to Design Manager level.
