Your new company

A north London studio: a small successful firm who specialise in architectural design, project management and construction services for developer-led residential schemes, smaller privately owned residential homes and local commercial clients. Typical work includes extensions, alternations, change of use, and project management. They have a smart portfolio and a growing reputation as being a can-do team, helping clients overcome design and technical challenges, obtaining planning, and managing through to construction. They're known for providing interesting design options, excellent in solving problems, all with the client and ultimately good quality finish at the heart of what they offer.

Due to continued success and growing demand from their clients, they're looking to expand the team with the appointment of a Graduate Architectural Technologist.

Your new role

They're seeking an enthusiastic individual who is keen to gain further experience and build their career. You will be working alongside the directors of the business, and consequently the learning and development opportunity will be excellent, as well as the chance to quickly take greater autonomy and ultimately have your own projects. The studio is also pushing their usage of BIM and Revit, therefore training and support will also be offered. The work is varied and another benefit is that you gain experience on a range of projects and tasks, working closely with clients and other stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a graduate in Architectural Technology, and will have some working experience to show ideally within the residential and commercial sectors (this can be work-experience / placement based). You will also have a keen design eye and the ability to come up with solutions that work practically, commercially and aesthetically. Furthermore you will have good technical knowledge and an understanding of UK building regulations. The studio uses Revit, and are keen on pushing their BIM capabilities. Some exposure to Revit and a keenness to develop this further would be ideal. Close proximity to north London or north west London would be beneficial in taking on the role, however the studio benefits from being close to the London underground, as well as office parking.

What you'll get in return

This is a great opportunity for Technologist to make their mark with a growing firm, and gain all-round experience, with direct mentoring from the senior team. Salary will be appropriate for the individual, but will be competitive for graduate level. The studio has a friendly feel and a positive working culture. Please apply today for immediate consideration on this excellent role.
