An exciting opportunity has arisen working in the Contracting business. Successful candidates will learn about everything from sourcing materials, extraction process, plant production and operations through to the final leg of the journey where the product is used to build one of the hundreds of thousands of miles of roads which Britain is built on.

The Contracting team is the leading provider of road construction and maintenance in the UK with numerous offices throughout the country providing an outlet for approximately three million tonnes of asphalt a year. Their business offers a range of services, from highway maintenance and airfield surfacing through to pavements, road planing, street lighting, traffic management and winter maintenance.

Description

Quantity Surveyor - Leading Construction Solutions Company

As Quantity Surveyor your work will involve:

● Overseeing the measurement and preparation of valuations

● To support the preparation of monthly valuations and financial accounts in preparation for

invoicing customers

● Record, monitor and review the financial performance of contracts

● Secure payments from customers within the specified contract terms and manage payment of

sub contractors

● Pricing and agreement of highway maintenance schemes Target Costs.

● Administration of highway maintenance schemes in conjunction with operational teams

including Early Warning notification and the pricing and agreement of Compensation Events.

Profile

Quantity Surveyor - Leading Construction Solutions Company

It is preferred that applicants are educated to at least HND level although other equivalent qualifications

may be accepted. Prior experience of working on highway maintenance, highway construction or

general civil engineering is preferred. Experience of using the NEC3 or NEC2 forms of contract would

be advantageous.
