Design & Planning Executive
Design & Planning Executive required to join one of the UK's largest housing developers, based in their regional office in Warwick. As one of the longest standing housing developers in the UK, you will be joining a company with an outstanding reputation for producing high quality spec housing, joining the Design & Planning team.
Reporting to the Design & Planning Manager, the overall purpose of your role will be to assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications, viabilities, house type matters, building control and secure planning consents. You will be responsible for providing assistance with ensuring planning applications, technical matters and building regulation applications are compliant and that live site matters are efficiently handled.
This position would be ideal for an individual that has at least 3 years of prior experience either in a housing developer background or an architectural practice. You'll be well versed in preparing and submitting planning applications and going through the processes necessary to secure planning approval.
Key activities of the Design & Planning Executive will include, but not be limited to:
·Assisting with scheme viabilities and land appraisals.
·Ensure that all applications comply with relevant planning policy.
·Ensure that the scheme is viable; liaison with internal colleagues to ensure the scheme meets BU requirements.
·Manage and agree fees for consultants where required.
·Dealing with the Design & Planning aspects of a number of allocated sites.
·Managing external consultants to ensure planning approvals are given and within timescales.
·Producing plans and elevations for group house types where required.
·Submission of initial notices.
·Dealing with site queries.
·Assistance with production of deed plans and LPE layouts/plans.
Qualifications and skills required of the Design & Planning Executive:
·HNC qualification/Degree in relevant subject.
·Computer literate and proficient in AutoCAD
·Knowledge of planning and development processes/house building and architectural design, NHBC standards and building regulations.
·Photoshop/Sketchup knowledge would be desirable but not necessarily required.
In return you will be rewarded with an attractive salary and benefits package, likely to be in the region of £25,000-£30,000 per annum dependant on current experience level.
