Graduate Architectural Technician
Your new company
Your new employer is a well-established, award winning, high profile and forward thinking rural Architectural and Building Surveying team. Projects range from renovations of a country house or farm building conversion, to complete new-build projects, providing clients with an exciting designs across a range of projects, both ancient and modern. Their services include advice on works planned for historic and listed properties, project management of major developments, specifications and management of building projects typically £50k and up in value.
Your new role
Due to a large amount of new projects being realised and continued growth, your role as Architectural Technician, you see you support the rest of team (2 x senior technicians and head of Architecture), taking a number of projects from feasibility through to completion. You will carry out feasibility studies, make site visits and survey properties of all varieties. You will prepare working drawings including detail drawings, floor plans, sections and elevations and make planning applications as well as sometimes meeting with planning officers, clients and contractors to discuss projects progress.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have a positive attitude with real passion for Architecture and willingness to develop in the industry. Experience of working in a comparable environment or on similar project would be a plus. You should show teamwork, communication and enormous enthusiasm with an inquisitive mind, always looking to show flexibility to ensure ultimate client satisfaction. AutoCAD is a must, along with some previous experience in an Architectural environment with any Revit fluency highly regarded.
