Their products range from porches and beams to full oak framed houses and extensions with recent projects that include swimming pool houses, and conservatories. They are market leaders in their specialist area and highly respected and regarded nationally with an impressive reputation.
Your new role
As Architectural Designer and working alongside the rest of the small design team, you will be responsible for liaising with the sales team to produce designs that exceed client expectation. After an initial discussion regarding their specific requirements, you will use AutoCAD software to bring client visions and ideas to life. You will additionally work alongside structural engineers, and senior members of the team to discuss your plans and drawings to ensure the in house construction team and carpenters have well thought through and detailed drawings to work from and that you exceed customer satisfaction at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be relatively new to the industry with a passion and enthusiasm for design. You will ideally have experience working with Oak or timber frame projects and fluency using AutoCAD software and sketch up. You need to be a friendly and well-spoken communicator to liaise with clients and your fellow team members to tackle a variety of complex and interesting projects, as well as being a hungry and driven individual that is keen to progress and make a long term impact with your new employer. The role could suit a Part 1 or Part 2 Architecture Assistant or even An Architectural Technician or CAD Designer looking to diversify their skills in a niche sector.
