Residential Architectural Technician Birmingham £20.00-£30.00 per hour 6 months contract
Your new company
You will be working for an established house-building company based in Birmingham. This company is a specialised house building company who specialise in affordable housing, residential schemes and bespoke homes. You will also be assisting in writing and submitting planning applications and you must have experience in UK building regulations. This role is offered on a temporary basis for up to 6 months possibly leading to permanent. You will be paid between £20.00-£30.00 per hour depending upon experience.
Your new role
You will be working as an Architectural Technician working alongside the Senior Architect and Senior Architectural Technologist working on creating residential drawings and plot layouts for new build homes. You will also be responsible for writing and submitting planning applications and will be visiting construction sites.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a skilled Architectural Technologist with experience in 2D AutoCAD and 3D SketchUp. You will have experience in the residential sector and you must have knowledge of UK building regulations. Good communication skills are essential as this is a client facing role. You will either have a degree in Architectural Technology or be of a Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant. You will have experience in the planning sector and also have experience in submitting planning applications. Local and national knowledge of planning applications is essential.
