A highly successful and coveted interior design practice based in Chelsea is seeking a design associate to lead and deliver high-end residential schemes as well as assist in the development of practice's brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and contribute to the ambitions and values of the practice and will have the appropriate skills and creativity to drive them forward in a productive manner.
  • Have an outstanding eye for design, an ability to quickly understand and embrace the brand's style and ethos to stylistically and practically direct the interior design team accordingly.
  • Able to understand a client brief, have the ability to produce immaculate design presentations and have outstanding communication skills when presenting to clients.
  • Able to identify risk factors and catch problems early and to have a solutions based approach.
  • Responsible for all work production by the interior design team, assuring it meets the practice's high standards.
  • Inspire and drive the interior design team and work flow of studio, with a non-egotistical and hands-on approach.
  • Lead and manage client relationships.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant residential experience in a leading / award-winning London design practice.
  • Proven experience leading / mentoring an interior design team.
  • Posses a strong worth ethic and commitment to deliver outstanding luxury interior design projects.
  • Have an excellent eye for design, experience leading the stylistic direction of projects and able to produce immaculate design presentations.
  • Proven track record of setting up and successfully managing high value and complex ff&E budgets.
  • Extensive expereince in bespoke luxury furniture and joinery design.
  • Have an established network of relevant suppliers and manufacturers
  • Superior communication skills, verbally and written.
  • Proficiency of AutoCAD. SketchUp and EstiPC are advantageous.
