Superb medium sized, national consultancy is looking for an experienced leader for their Manchester office

They have several workstreams, including Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying and Project Management across a plethora of sectors; retail, commercial, education and residential. They have built long standing relationships with quality clientele, and are working on new networks and projects all the time.

They are looking for a proven leader of people, with a construction background, networking and business development ability, to take the lead in the office and help capitalise on the huge opportunities in Manchester.

Your new role
You will sit above the Directors of the respective disciplines, managing workloads, teams, progression and support, handling internal and external relationships, ensuring the quality of the work doesn't decrease and that everyone works to the best of their ability.

You'll be responsible for bringing new work into the business, so the expectations will be that you'll be out networking and earning fees for the business. As you do this, you'll be looking after the recruitment of new staff, the training and development of existing staff, and producing reports/forecasts to the board.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have small/medium consultancy experience, and ideally have worked within a multi-disciplined environment, or even managed people in those. You need to have a proven background in any of the construction disciplines, so long as you have the people skills, charisma and leadership ability to make a real impact on the office and the staff.

You'll be a proven business developer, with a network on investors, clients and contractors across the North West especially, and have a clear plan on how you can aid the growth of the company.
