I have an exciting opportunity with a leading modular firm in Leeds. I have an Architectural Designer vacancy for a bright and capable Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant individual who will produce drawings and information to support the successful manufacture of modules by taking architectural information from a revit model and producing modularised designs

Modular experience is not essential, but general capability, intellectual capacity and genuine enthusiasm for the modular project and desire to make a difference will prove essential qualities

-To contribute to the day to day delivery of drawings, modelling and assist as directed in all aspects of architectural design
-Modularise design/provide fabrication or shop floor drawings for inclusion in the manufacturing packs
-Co-ordinate Revit model (modularise) and BTL files for production
-Check the accuracy in geometry between the model received (ifc) and the modularised one (Revit) and the information sent to the CNC programmers
-Check the model is suitable to be manufactured on site, review & approve shop floor documents for production
-Identify areas/details that may cause production problem
-Develop in house QA procedures/checklists
oDrawing issue templates/information index
oChecklists related to each part of the factory process
-Contribute to design guide / manufacture guide / O&M pack etc
-Ensure all drawings and documentation is produced in a structured, version controlled manner and held on appropriate systems to enable collaborative working between the internal and external design teams
-Produce all works in accordance with BIM protocols
-Work to project plans effectively and efficiently, raise issues and follow remedy when required maintaining project files
-Allocate your time and resources effectively and fully utilise assets to produce optimal results including creating models, and research
-Stay up to date with latest architecture best practices, concepts & BIM Protocols with familiarity of industry standard equipment and technical expertise

You should have a degree in architecture or Part 1/2 RIBA registration and solid revit experience and understanding
