Conrad Consulting in Partnership with a national Property Design and Management Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their offices in Barnsley.

Working on mainly Public Sector type projects, this represents a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide scope of work in terms of value and size. Projects value from £1K up to £2Million, from small refurbishments and extensions all the way up to new Schools and Housing Developments, and the Redevelopment of Barnsley Town Centre.

Main tasks include:
*Acting on behalf of the Design Team Leader for projects (where appropriate) liaising with and co-ordinating with other professional or technical staff employed on the project
*Carry out all necessary design and technical work including specifications for the various stages of a project from inception to completion in accordance with the RIBA plan of work
*Assisting with the management of projects including agreeing design team briefs, preparing project programmes, preparing progress reports, preparing stage reports and monitoring project performance against targets and cost
*Assisting in the preparation of render documentation and provide advice as required in seeking, receiving and accepting tenders
*Assisting with the preparation of the project risk register
*Assisting in the preparation and submit applications for relevant statutory approvals

Experience Required:
*Must have experience working in an Architectural Practice as an Architectural Technologist
*Professional competence as an Architectural Technologist
*Previous relevant experience in a similar client-side role
*Must have experience in dealing with clients at establishment head level
*Experience in working to agreed targets within a commercial environment

Skills, Knowledge and aptitudes:
*Must be able to demonstrate relevant up to date CPD records
*Understanding of the building process from inception to completion
*Detailed knowledge of Building Regulations
*Knowledge of CDM Regulations
*Ability to write clearly and concisely
*Ability to contribute to project and design meetings
*Ability to work accurately on several schemes at any one time
*Must be able to work unassisted to a high quality

Salary offered - £35,000 - £42,000 per annum + generous benefits package
