Senior Architectural Technician
Senior Architectural Technician required to join one of the West Midlands' longest standing practices, based in Fort Dunlop, Birmingham.
The practice were established over 100 years ago and have been deeply ingrained in to the Birmingham Architectural scene ever since. Some of Birmingham's most notable projects and developments were designed within the practice, in sectors such as; Universities/Educational Buildings, 60,000 sq.ft Industrial Units, Multi-Unit Residential Developments for major housing developers, and large scale Masterplans.
Due to an influx in workload, an additional Senior Architectural Technician is now required to join the practice on a permanent basis. You will start out working on multi-unit Residential developments, so prior experience of working within housing would be highly advantageous. Following this, you will be exposed to an array of sectors and project types, meaning you won't be 'pigeon-holed' in to one area. This position would suit a Senior Architectural Technician looking for a varied workload, with real opportunity to progress through to Associate level and beyond.
Requirements of the Senior Architectural Technician include, but are not limited, the following:
·Architectural Technology degree or HNC in a related field.
·Upwards of 5 years industry experience within similar sectors/environment.
·Experience of running projects and leading a small team of Technicians/Assistants.
·Experience of working on large scale Residential developments.
·In depth knowledge of UK Building Regs
·A strong portfolio demonstrating high levels of attention to detail.
·Software proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (desirable).
The successful Senior Architectural Technician will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package in the region of £34,000-£38,000, dependant on experience.
