My client are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and highly capable Architectural Revit Technician to join their in house architectural team.

The successful applicant will be challenged with the successful implementation of creating DATA Driven Revit Housetypes. The NHBC Type Approved Housetypes will be used throughout the business. The successful applicant will also work with the Senior Management Team and Directors to create and implement the strategic vision of BIM for the business as a whole.

An architectural background is essential and a vast experience of the residential sector is a must. A portfolio demonstrating the above is required to ensure a first stage interview. Duties - Ideally you will have 75% experience in the duties listed below

- Creation of BIM/Revit templates to drive intelligent DATA driven content to assist all departments within the business.
- Creation of programming templates using Asta Power Project to ensure all DATA driven content aligns with the overall planning, tendering, build and sales programmes.
- Creation of programming templates using Asta Power Project to ensure all DATA driven content aligns with the overall housetype programme including all 3rd Party procurement and approvals.
- Liaising with the Director of Business Improvement and Head of Design to ensure the BIM/Revit work sequence drives the business forward in an automated manner.
- Deliver an in-house training programme for all office-based staff have an understanding on BIM/Revit is utilised in an efficient manner.
- An understanding of Autodesk 3DSMax would be an advantage.
- A good grasp and knowledge base of Family Creation and Procurement is essential.
- Ideally have extensive knowledge in the use of Dynamo in Revit, being able to create bespoke visual scripts that will help alleviate laborious repetitive modelling and intelligent data input tasks.
- Once a sound understanding of how the business works on a micro level come up with potential new scripts or beta software to help aid those Revit business processes.
- Using your extensive background in Revit come up with visual styles to output directly out of the software from an early stage to help feed the initial sales & marketing campaigns, later on easing the output of those models to the digital media department by creating the best type of models that work for their needs.
- Collaborating with the digital media department to help produce new exciting and innovating content that can be used company and nationwide.
- A good understanding on current building regulations and NHBC Standards is essential.
- Create and manage the Revit model for the project
- Create and manage the production of Revit content
- Apply and manage office BIM protocols and Revit standards
- Work with the pre-development team to manage Revit standards
- Collecting and interpreting technical data from our 3rd party supply chain and requesting for IFC documents from them.
- To have a sound knowledge of principles and practices of related consultants
- Develop co-ordination skills of documentation received and created in house and with consultants and associated trade disciplines.
- Administrative type IT systems.
- To be responsible for the preparation of new and adaptations to existing designs, drawings, specifications and schedules to suit design development.
- To maintain Continuing Professional Development by Studying appropriate literature and shadowing strategic colleagues.
- Passion for new technology.
- Develop technical communication skills
- Develop knowledge of other architectural design technologies a plus knowledge of industry standards for BIM useful.

Successful applicants can expect a basic salary of £35000-40000 plus bonus, healthcare and more.
