My client, a market leading house builder, is looking to recruit an architectural manager for their office in Doncaster

The main purpose of the role is to control and co-ordinate all architectural information between external consultants and internal departments. To ensure all approvals are obtained and correct information received and issued to allow for a programmed start on site.
To understand, implement and adhere to policy and strategy and ensure that all staff reporting to you does the same.
Ensure health and safety and customer experience are at the heart of everything you do.

Key Accountabilities include:

Design
- To work with the Land Department to ensure smooth transition of all architectural information takes place.
- To check all architectural drawings and details for accuracy, correctness and commercial suitability.
- To liaise with external consultants to ensure deadlines are met.
- To apply for and secure planning permission for all architectural design and relevant regulation approval.
- To attend site visits and meetings in order to solve any problems that arise during the construction process.
- To attend design meetings with planning departments to ascertain requirements from a council perspective for new developments.
- Ensure that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as required.

Land Appraisal
- Procure sketch layouts and architectural design solutions.
- Provide provisional assessment of architectural design requirements.
- Review technical information and provide value architectural design

Innovations
- Be aware of the need for innovation in all aspects of our business.
- Expect and encourage continued change and improvement within the company

Building Regulations & Warranty
- Complete Building Regulation and Warranty applications with Local Authority Building Control and NHBC.
- Monitor progress to ensure approval without any onerous conditions/cost implications.

Architectural / Technical Design
- Assist the Technical Director to obtain fee quotations from specialist consultants for all architectural design requirements.
- Provide architectural and technical support to the site teams.
- Assist the Commercial team in cost plan completion with regard to architectural matters.
- Take full responsibility of the day to day running of the architectural and planning section within the Yorkshire Technical Department.

Product Development
- Work with the Central Design Team to develop architectural products and research build systems to ensure we are ready for legislation and market change.

People
- Create a team spirit with our partner consultants to ensure the Company receives total commitment.
- Develop a close working relationship with the Regional team, ensuring all information is communicated effectively and efficiently.
- Develop others working within the architectural section and provide support and coaching where required.

Successful applicants can expect a basic salary of between £45000-55000 plus extensive benefits including car or car allowance, bonus, contributory pension and more.
