- Architect, Architectural Technician, Architectural Technologist
The best Technical talent in Cheshire has gathered in one place. It's a company that you might not have heard of before. You probably don't know that they are predominantly a Technician lead organisation and employ Technicians over Architects by a ratio of about 9:1.
Do you feel like you can do more than just stage 3 - 5 drawing work? Here, Technician's get to design. That's because the projects are often extremely technical in nature, and also because most Technicians go into Architecture because they are creative as well as technical.
You will work on stages 0 - 7, right the way through. Projects will vary from Industrial to Residential or from Healthcare to Education, but a Technician will do every part of it.
It's also likely you think Architecture is pretty poorly paid and that right now you don't really get recognised or rewarded for what you do. You would probably feel much more appreciated if you got a very significant four-figure annual bonus and a set annual pay review where invariably every member of staff gets a pay rise.
What's even better, is that you'll be working with the same clients over and over on different project types, this company very rarely bids for work in the traditional sense. Land Acquisition is one of the things they do in house, they've won a whole host of long term clients for the range of services they provide and invariably work is either handed to them as the company themselves have a degree of control over new developments for their clients.
It's one of the safest possible places to be in times of uncertainty. Not a single redundancy was made during the last recession.
This all sounds very professional and complicated, but banter certainly is not lacking either. You'll feel well looked after, not just because of the bonus and the payrise, but because the technical team are a family and very close-knit.
To top it off they are currently going for BIM Level 2 certification. They need you to be able to use Revit, but they'll bring you up to speed and their level quickly.
So if you're in Cheshire and the commute is getting you down, you now know there is a place for you nearby. Make sure you get in touch with Matt at Aspirant to discuss this opportunity.
