Client Side Placemaker of Urban Spaces - London

So many more people engage with buildings from the outside than from within and this visionary landowner and developer believes that community engagement and a sense of community is the essence of architecture and harmonizing the spaces between buildings.

We are looking for a unique individual, a personality who has a love of people & design and wants people communities, tenants and retailers to be happy with the spaces both inside & outside of their buildings, so it reflects positively on their businesses and values and helps preserve the vitality of their urban neighbourhood.

Experience in a similar role is desired and experience of assisting with the implementation of new and innovative best practice placemaking possess/procedures, alongside budgetary & project management expertise is needed.

What we need is either a Placemaker, Project Consultant, Urban Designer or Planner with community consultation, placemaking, project management, public realm and tenant liaison experience. Someone with a holistic approach, who can work with external designers and instruct them as to the pulse of the micro communities. Knowledge or experience of successful regeneration sites would be perfect, ideally sites such as Kings Cross, Stratford or other central regenerated central urban areas.

A good part of this role will be dealing with customer relationships, brand management, PR, project management alongside identifying ideas to create briefs, potentially through art, food, music or other realms of place making engagement.

Every now and then a position comes along where the emphasis is about entirely different on the spaces between buildings. This role is about creatively re-imagining some of London's most significant streets and urban spaces.
