Architectural Technologist - Essex

Conrad Consulting are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established RIBA Chartered Architectural practice in Saffron Walden, Essex. We are aiming to source a professional Architectural Technologist with a proven track record in the UK Architectural industry to join a small, enthusiastic team of talented Architects and Assistants.

The successful Architectural Technologist will have the opportunity to work on listed buildings, bespoke houses and private residential extensions alongside small residential developments.

We are ideally looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist who can be trusted to hit the ground running and produce construction drawings and production information. The position also offers the opportunity to influence and work on detail design during the preparation of tender packages and whilst projects are under construction on site.

Architectural Technologist Requirements:

• Architectural Technologist Degree or similar relevant qualification
• MCIAT accreditation
• At least 5 years of UK industry experience
• Thorough knowledge of UK building regulations.
• Experience in the preparation of construction drawings, plans and documents for statutory approvals.
• Thorough grasp of construction methods and materials.
• Experience and understanding of the procurement of residential projects on site.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and an ability to use SketchUp.
• Ability to keep abreast of changing technologies and standards.
• Excellent communication skills
• An ability to produce hand drawing on occasions would be useful but not essential
• Clean UK driving licence and access to a car.

A highly attractive salary and benefits package would be on offer to the successful Architectural Technologist, likely to be in the range of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum dependant on experience.
