Project Manager / Contract Administrator (Construction Consultancy)
My client, a mid sized construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Manager within their London building consultancy team. The candidate will need to be experienced in pre-and post-contract Project Management and Contract Administration and Employer's Agent roles and duties across the commercial, housing and retail sector and be capable of managing projects.
Individual required to assist the Directors in taking the business forward and to introduce new clients and additional business leads.
Requirements of the Project Manager:
·Either BSc degree min 2:1 in relevant construction course with minimum 3 years relevant experience OR minimum 5 years relevant construction project management experience
·Eligible to work in the UK
·High standard of numeracy
·Proven experience with JCT 2011 and 2016 Suite of contracts
·Client facing
·Proficiency in MS software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
·AUTOCAD an advantage Work getter
·Practical construction knowledge Work unsupervised
·Cost planning / budgeting skills Ability to resolve disputes
Specific Requirements & Proven Technical Experience:
·Proven experience in acting solely as CA or EA in JCT suite of Contracts in commercial, residential, retail or mixed-use projects
·Assist with preparation of contract documents / with pre-contract estimating
·Assist with post-contract valuations of work and value of change orders
·Preparation of Preliminaries Production of Project Cost Reports
·Document compilation and issue of tenders
·Attend meetings and make notes of meetings for record and distribution
·Act as contract administrator / Employer's Agent
·Preparation of business presentation material and case studies
·Site inspections and reporting on works including on site valuations
·Assisting Directors with project monitoring
·Preparation of back-up information and assisting in settlement of Contractor's claims
·Reporting to Directors on project profitability Preparation of monthly status reports for clients
