We are working with one of the UK's leading provider of luxury carpeting and upholstery, a long-established family business who now have global reach, working with major clients, including 5* hotels, casinos, yachts, and many others.

For their new Clerkenwell-based London office they are seeking a CAD Technician/Project Planner to join their growing team. You will be responsible for all aspects of planning custom projects, from calculation of initial quantities to producing CAD based seaming diagrams for approval and final installations. You close colleagues will be within Sales, Design and the Project Management, all working to the main objective of planning the projects as timely and accurately as possible.


Your new role
The role includes CAD design and the high levels of attention to detail that comes with working on high profile projects. For instance you will be visiting sites to survey, reading and interpreting project plans, creating project drawings and room layouts, and advising the project management team on details such as weave widths, pattern repeats, often in the context of a very complex space. You will also be heavily involved in the continued progress of projects, monitoring time-lines, ensuring details are ready and accurate for production and meeting of set-standards.

The role will involve regular travel within the UK, and on occasion further afield; often visiting sites of very high-profile such as 5* hotels and casinos.

Working in conjunction with Sales, Design and the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of planning custom projects from calculation of initial quantities to producing seaming diagrams for approval and final installation diagrams.


What you'll need to succeed
Candidates with a CAD background in the Interior Design sectors, those with experience in the furniture and fittings companies or other comparable products such as high-end kitchens or bespoke lighting, all would be encouraged to apply.

Candidates directly from another high-end Carpet manufacturer naturally are highly encouraged, but direct experience isn't a necessity, as training will be given to the successful candidate who displays comparable skills and the right aptitude.
