Your new company

An award-winning RIBA chartered practice is currently looking to recruit a Town Planner to join their team of highly committed architects and interior designers who provide innovative architectural design solutions. The company works with local, national and international clients.

Your new role

You will be expected to present information and data relating to Planning Applications and the Local Development Plan (and other planning policy documents).
You will provide advice on the pre-application scheme and will be expected to attend any pre-application / negotiation meetings and produce and design and access statements which may include plans, elevations and other illustrations, for large or complex schemes a model of the proposed development.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have a knowledge of Town planning and experience of the role working for either a planning consultancy, public sector or local authority.
Proven communication skills, with the ability to present to a diverse range of internal and external audiences using a variety of media and approaches. Negotiation skills/proven ability in negotiation in challenging situations.
You must be a strong and confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign.
A degree in in Town Planning is essential and a MRTPI is desirable.
You will also need to have a proven track record of handling a range of development management applications.
