Senior Architectural Technologist - Retail

Senior Architectural Technologist with a keen eye for detail required to join a leading multi-disciplinary practice based in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

This practice are multi-disciplinary offering services in Architecture, Civil & Structural Engineering and Building Surveying. The Architecture team currently stands at approximately 15 members of staff and features Architects, Architectural Assistants and Architectural Technicians/Technologists at varying levels.

There is now a requirement within the practice for an additional Senior Architectural Technologist with job running capability, following an influx in workload predominantly in the Retail sector. Other sectors worked within include Residential, Leisure, Commercial, Industrial, and Healthcare, areas which you will be able to explore once the demand for Retail work calms down.

Experienced Architectural Technologists with a background of working within the Retail sector, along with the ability to run jobs from inception through to completion will be ideally placed for this role. AutoCAD and Revit are the main software packages used throughout the office, so previous experience and high proficiency in using these would be desirable. Revit training can be provided where necessary.

The Retail projects to be carried out is a for a client of this practice that operate nationwide, with units typically varying in size from 10,000ft2 to 180,000ft2 which gives an idea of the scale of the word you will be carrying out. Working with this key client throughout the UK will mean an element of travel will be involved in the role, so a full UK driving license would be beneficial for this position.

Skills and characteristics required for Senior Architectural Technologist:

·At least 6 years industry experience, which will include several years of job running experience.
·Fully proficient in REVIT - at least 3 years practical experience
·Experience in Retail development desirable
·Experience of working in and leading the technical aspects of a project team
·Experience of technical building design and Building Regulations
·Ability to work on multiple projects at once, managing your time appropriately.

Salary offered is £32,000 - £38,000 plus pension contribution, private healthcare package and pay reviews.
