An upcoming and successful architectural studio seeks a robust and confident HR and Operations Manager to oversee a wide range of commitments and duties.

A diverse and broad remit, not only will you be maintaining and overseeing current operations, you will also be developing and implementing new systems and processes. Working closely with the Senior Management team, Associates, Studio Assistant and Studio Manager you will be responsible for duties such as:

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated effectively and provide training when necessary
  • Provide advice and support to managers on employee relations issues
  • Manage and update the staff handbook
  • Manage the annual review process
  • Manage annual salary review process
  • Analyse training and development needs and develop individual training plans
  • Maintain and oversee existing staff training plans
  • Schedule CPDs and keep thorough records of staff training
  • Maintain employee records on the company HR server
  • Liaise with external bookkeepers to coordinate monthly payroll information and monitor pensions contributions
  • Oversee recruitment process
  • Manage the employee onboarding process
  • Manage the leavers process
  • Monitor weekly timesheets and reports
  • Maintain and promote the Quality and Environmental Management system
  • Maintain ISO9001 and ISO14001 certification
  • Maintain and update the health and safety policies
  • Coordinate risk assessments
  • Manage the renewal of insurance and professional registrations
  • Drafting, maintaining, and updating studio policies and procedures as required
  • Manage current studio systems and identify improvements

To be considered, candidates will ideally possess 5 – 6 years’ experience within studio HR and operations management positions. In addition to this, you will also demonstrate proven experience in developing and delivering new systems and processes in previous roles.

Excellent knowledge in HR policies and procedures is essential and a genuine interest in Architecture would be advantageous.
