A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a RIBA Chartered Architect to join a reputable practice based in the centre of Canterbury. This small yet well-established firm have managed to forge a fantastic reputation for delivering projects within the residential sector and have an extensive developer-based clientele.

We are looking for a talented Architect who can boast over 3 years UK experience working predominantly within the residential sector on commissions of varying scales. Architects that have experience with a UK housebuilder will be looked upon favourably.

As the successful Architect you will report directly to the Directors of the practice but will be trusted to run your own projects. As such, you must be able to prepare drawing layout plans, sections, elevations and technical detailing using AutoCAD. The ideal Architect will also need to possess sound knowledge of the current UK Building Regulations and Approved Documents, CDM, as well as experience dealing with the Local Authority Planning Departments.

This practice are ideally looking for someone to join them for the long term with the view to develop your career alongside the growth of the practice.

Architect Requirements:

• RIBA Part 3 qualified Architect
• 3 years UK industry experience minimum
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Excellent communication skills in taking design briefs
• Ability to manage client expectations and co-ordinate supporting stakeholders
• Full UK driving licence and transport

The appointed Architect can expect to receive all the support needed to make the role a success whilst commanding a highly competitive salary likely to be in the range of £35-£45k.
