Architect – Associate Design Director - London

Company

We have been appointed exclusively by our client, a long established and highly successful London based property development company who are leaders in their field.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new sister company focusing on an innovative concept for the London market.  This role also offers for the right person future directorship with share options.

Role:

Initially working within their in-house architects practice to understand the company’s approach to design that has made them so successful, you will work closely with the Chairman/Founder on this new venture.  This therefore requires someone with a “partnership” mentality versus an “employee mentality” who thrives within a “startup” environment and has a “can do” attitude.

You will be responsible for feasibility design and outline planning applications of innovative and viable residential development schemes for a range of smaller scale projects (5 – 20 dwellings), adding real value to the development process. Detailed planning application to completion of development will be outsourced, however, you will be responsible for project management of these developments and the outsourced construction team.

Person:

A commercial approach to residential design and planning is essential.  Your flair for design to unlock the potential of a site coupled with your construction and development knowledge and experience are all key to this role.

Skills:

RIBA Part III or equivalent qualification

Minimum 10 years post qualification experience

London experience is essential

Project Leadership experience on London built developments (to include small scale projects)

Have up to date knowledge of National and London planning policies

Good working knowledge of current Building Regulations

Good understanding of construction methods

Sense of commerciality and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the business

This is a unique opportunity where you can make your mark and offers future directorship and share options
