Since 2009 we’ve enjoyed incredible success to become the UK’s leading gym chain. Already operating more than 235 gyms across the country, that number will grow rapidly over the next few years. All of our teams and our amazing people will play a vital role in that growth, none more so than our Property Development team. With a significant portion of our future growth expected to come through opening new locations, all eyes will be on the team to deliver.
And to ensure that delivery, we need to grow the team quickly, and that includes hiring one more Architectural Technologist, based in our Leeds office.
Supporting both our Acquisitions and Development teams, the Architectural Technologist is responsible for providing specialist technical support on all of our gym development projects. These projects could be new sites or refurbishments of existing gyms and cover the entire UK.
Surveying sites remotely; conducting initial feasibility studies and risk assessments; assessing environmental impacts; identifying legal issues; analysing architectural plans and drawings; creating and amending drawings using CAD applications; specifying the appropriate technology and tools to be used in the project; providing all the necessary inputs to support the acquisition of approvals and consents; providing support throughout the development from start to finish – all of these and more will be key responsibilities in the role.
In return for the experience you bring, your hard work and your passion, we offer not only an attractive salary and benefits package, but also the opportunity to be part of a team that will be growing rapidly. As the team grows, so will our ways of working evolve, and everyone in the development team will have an opportunity to make a significant contribution to that transformation. And of course, you’ll work on some brilliant gym projects along the way.
If you already have experience as an Architectural Technologist or Technician, have delivered consistent support on multiple projects simultaneously, and can demonstrate a passion for our industry, then we’ll more than likely be interested in having a conversation with you. Ideally your background will include working in or with customer facing industries such as leisure, retail, hospitality or retail banking.
