I often take calls from interior designers or architects who are looking for job with a property developer rather than an architectural practice or interior design company. Rather than being the external consultant, some aspiring interior designers and architects want to influence design from within the developer, arguably having a much greater impact on the finished building. Particularly for residential schemes, it's the smaller details within a development that make all the difference to the lifestyle of those living there.

This Interior Architect / Interior Designer job is with one of London's fastest growing Property Developers. They have been described as a 'market disruptor' within the property development world. Know how to define a 'disruptor'? Well, it does what it says on the tin but to put a more formal spin on it; a disruptor identifies gaps in the property market created by real estate trends that existing property developers and incumbents have missed. Whichever way you put it, these forward thinking, fast growing, 'disruptor property developers' seem like the place to be and there are some great job opportunities to be had.

Job roles in these new breeds of developers tend to be broader than those in traditional developers and architecture or interior design practices. In this interior design role, you have less chance of being underutilised and more chances to learn new skills that within a developer environment. You'd be surrounded by a highly skilled group of designers, architects, surveyors, finance, investment, construction and development professionals.

This particular property developer is growing faster than their competitors by challenging the norm with the both the design and construction of their properties. They are well funded and fiercely ambitious and have grown from 30 staff to 160 staff over the last 5 years and now have operations in continental Europe and America. Phenomenal growth like this creates superb opportunities for people to develop their careers and in this particular instance, it has created a great opportunity for an Interior Architect / Interior Designer.

This property developer has challenged the market with it's a lifestyle orientated developments. Above all, they have embraced good design and used this to differentiate their offering from other residential property developers within the PRS and co-living space. The in-house interior design team create the interiors for all of their developments and work closely with in-house architecture department, marketing teams and M&E consultants.

We'd like to hear from interior designers or interior architects would like to discuss moving to this highly successful and entrepreneurial development company. Multi-unit residential, co-living and hotel experience are all of interest.

Salary is dependent upon the individual but likely to be in the range of £40K- £50K.
