Project Architect

King & Co is seeking an experienced project architect to join its team in Hertfordshire, UK.

Established in 2014, we are a forward thinking developer with a strong focus on residential developments and strategic land allocations. We are involved in a wide range of projects in both rural and urban settings and at various scales from high-end domestic buildings and historic conversions, through medium scale residential development to large scale masterplans and town extensions.

The ideal candidate will be creative and confident, with a positive attitude and a passion for residential. They must be motivated and well organised able to take initiative as well as working as part of a team, and with confidence in their ability to assist and contribute throughout the design process, from inception to delivery, with a high standard of written and verbal communication and organisational skills. The role would include sketching, 3D computer modelling, preparing work for presentations and site visits for both feasibilities and construction. The role also offers excellent opportunities for managing a team of consultants, negotiating with statutory authorities and site and running experience.

Essential skills:

• excellent communication skills (fluent English both written and spoken are essential)
• hand-sketching
• AutoCAD (Revit is advantageous but not essential)
• SketchUp
• Adobe Suite Software (InDesign and Photoshop)
• demonstrable experience running projects and confidence managing projects from start to finish commercial awareness
• good time management and organisational skills
