London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) is seeking a Head of Design for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the wider LLDC area.

The Head of Design will lead and provide strategic advice to deliver the highest quality architecture and urban design for a specified portfolio of projects, including masterplans, capital projects, policies and strategies. The incumbent will ensure all projects meet the Legacy Corporation's priority themes, particularly compliance with high quality design, and deliver against the business plan objectives and long-term regeneration vision.

Ideally, applicants for this role will be dual qualified within the Architecture, Urban Design and/or Landscape Architecture disciplines. Professional membership of the relevant governing bodies such as the ARB, RIBA and/or CMLI is desirable.

Given the seniority of this position, candidates will need to have significant post qualification experience in leading and managing the design of large-scale UK architectural, urban design and masterplanning programmes and consultant teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions within a comparable context. Ideally candidates will also have experience of managing, promoting and developing complex private/public sector partnerships.

The focus of this role will be pre-construction so candidates should have a track record of bringing together project programmes and scopes of work and managing consultants on urban regeneration projects. Candidates will also be versed in brokering collaborative working relationships with a range of key senior stakeholders, building partnerships across sector boundaries.
