Part II Architectural Assistant Opportunity for a City Centre Practice in Glasgow

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by one of Glasgow's most up and coming practices. They wish to recruit a Part II who has the ambition to progress to undertake the role of a Project Architect in very favourable timing. This piece of recruitment is a crucial one for this business. One of the main positives about this business is that the structure of the team within the company will allow for a lot of growth and personal development.

Your new role
My client best described this role as being a position for an 'all rounder' who enjoys getting fully involved with the project at hand. They are looking for a Part II who enjoys all aspects of the job; sketching, coming up with design solutions, presentation drawings, rendering, working on sketchUp, tackling packages of work, assisting with planning applications and building warrants etc. A lot of the work initially will be like this simply due to the initial project requirements. You will have the opportunity to work on some major projects that will bode well in enhancing your CV. The structure of this practice will allow you to further develop your client facing skills, as they encourage their staff to take on more responsibility.

What you'll need to succeed
- Be an experienced Part II, ideally with some practice experience
- The ability to design / sketch / render / present / and produce details.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit would be a benefit.
- Be proactive in your work, and have the energy and desire to succeed.
- Take a hands on and pro-active approach to your work
- Be willing to get involved in the decision making process within a project
- Have the drive to push out high quality work.
- Have client facing experience, or the character to suit that kind of role.

What you'll get in return
Is an immediate start working in a modern office environment in central Glasgow. This practice offers a highly skilled candidate the chance to work on a range of large-scale, high end developments, offering a competitive salary, with great benefits and serious career progression.
