Your new company
A public sector organisation are looking to recruit an all round Electrical Engineer on a temporary rolling basis. This organisation are based in Derbyshire and are looking for the successful Engineer to sit within a team that looks after; planned and reactive maintenance and small works of up to £150k. This team also offers advice on some major work projects.

Your new role
You will be responsible for providing electrical services technical expertise in relation to a number of departments including; maintenance, adaptations, refurbishments, alterations and new builds. Your role will encompass a number of duties including carrying out condition surveys and reports, and producing estimates, specifications, drawings and work schedules for tendering purposes.

This role will be based both in office and on sites as you will be required to lead a team to ensure effective project management for minor electrical service installations.

All projects you will be required to work on will be public building such as libraries, museums and schools.

For the majority of any designs you will be required to produce, you will be using AutoCAD. However, this organisation is slowly moving into Revit and so some project will be carried out in this software.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have previous public sector experience within construction and maintenance with a HNC or equivalent qualification being desired.

You must have extensive knowledge and experience of applying ISO 55000 International Standards for Asset Management and BS 8455, alongside a strong knowledge of British Standards and regulations.
