Development and Planning Coordinator required for a multi-award winning House Builder to be based from their regional headquarters in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Our client is a respected national homebuilder with an established reputation for building outstanding quality family homes and providing excellent customer service. Their ethos is to build homes safely, in a way which is considerate to the environment and delighting their customers with a product and experience which recognises that buying a new home is monumental.

They now a key position available within their in-house Design team.

Successful applicants will be responsible for predominantly the pre-construction phases of new build housing development projects and play a pivotal role in the front end design process to ensure land appraisals and subsequent planning applications are successfully obtained.

You will become part of a successful in-house Architectural and Engineering team and work alongside a Senior Design Manager and be responsible for the following -

Overseeing all post construction front end Design responsibilities and coordinating with the Architectural and Engineering teams.
Be responsible for all planning related matters to include detailed site plans / layouts and subsequent.
Oversea the planning application process through to successfully being granted.
Liaise with the local planning authority and work in partnership with external stake holders.
Produce accurate planning, building regulations and design specification drawing packages using AutoCAD.
Play a key role in identifying and acquiring potential land sites and managing the land appraisals.
Follow the internal development process, ensuring all systems are maintained with accurate information at all times.
When required, organise and lead/ attend client meetings acting in a professional manner to positively represent the company at all times.
Maintain excellent communication with the project team and internal stakeholders to ensure relevant information is correctly shared and circulated
Personal attributes / qualifications

Applications welcome for candidates from a Senior Architectural Technologist or Architect / Design background.
Ideally previously worked within an Architectural Practice or House Builder / developer background.
Degree qualified with a Design background.
Member of RIBA or MCIAT or other design recognised body.
Excellent Technical knowledge and the ability to use AutoCAD.
Previous experience within the Residential sector.
Some demonstrable job running experience.
Excellent client facing and presentation skills.
A person of good character and keen for career progression.

The package.

Basic salary up to £55,000 per annum + 15% perfomance related annual bonus.
Car allowance circa £5,5000 annual or choice of company vehicle.
6.5% employer contributory pension (3% employee)
Life Insurance cover 5 x salary

26 days holiday allowance + statutory bank holidays.
