Assistant Designer

Conrad Consulting are pleased to be working with a leading National Housebuilder that are looking to recruit an Assistant Designer to join the Technical Department in their Wakefield Offices.
This opportunity would best suit a Graduate Architectural Technologist, Graduate Part 1 / 2 Architectural Assistant or an Interior Design Graduate.

The successful Assistant Designer will support the Design Manager, Senior Designers and Designers by administering information systems and providing design information to the Technical Department and other members of staff within the division.

Requirements of the Assistant Designer:

·Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
·Working knowledge of AutoCAD
·Interest in the house building industry and design projects desirable
·Experience working on design projects, utilising CAD Design programmes desirable
·Excellent communication skills
·Full clean driving licence ideally


Duties of the Design Assistant:

·Input & generate data as and when required
·Assist with artwork preparation for presentation purposes
·Assist with the preparation of planning applications with the guidance of the Design Team
·Prepare coloured design drawings on the computer & manually
·Plotting & issuing of drawings to both internal & external bodies
·Answering the telephone and dealing with any queries & questions
·Ensure letters, memos, reports and standard forms are issued in line with agreed timetables
·Comply with the company policies, procedures and instructions at all times
