Job Details

A respected Architectural company, with a strong UK and International presence, seeks a talented and experience Infrastructure Senior Engineer to join their London office.

Working within the infrastructure team, you will provide both technical and project delivery support in line with business goals, this role will be a 50:50 BAU to projects role. Working with the IT Management, responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that realistic project plans are maintained and provide regular communication to stakeholders
  • Oversee responsibilities for project management, definition, facilitation and satisfactory completion of large, complex projects
  • Ensure that project deliverables are completed within agreed quality, cost and timescale targets and are signed off
  • Specify and design complex solutions and ensure that the designs balance agreed a multitude of agreed requirements
  • Build, develop and install infrastructure solutions according to the approved designs
  • Operate as technical resource on other projects
  • Provide maintenance, administration, and ensure security of the IT systems with detailed and consistent documentation
  • Develop implementation plans for complex requests for change
  • Evaluate risks to the integrity of service environment
  • Investigate and resolve problems in systems and services, ensuring that appropriate action is taken
  • Coordinate the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
  • Deliver 3rd-line technical support as part of the IT operations function
  • Offer support and mentoring to other members of the team
  • Manage suppliers and ensuring the requirements have been delivered to the required standard
  • Monitor the market to identify currently emerging technologies and products based on own area of expertise, assess their relevance and potential value to the organisation     
  • To perform other technical, related and support duties as may be required

A diverse and fast-paced role, there may some travel required between various UK offices. Successful candidates must be familiar with; Windows Server 2008-2016, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Skype, VM Ware, VM Ware Horizon, Google Cloud, Cisco, ACI, MPLS, SDWAN, HYCU, Nutanix, Meraki, and SQL Server.
