Design Coordinator - House Builder

Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working alongside one of the UK's leading house builders, seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to join their regional office in Tamworth, West Midlands.

The house builder in question are one of the UK's most successful developers in the UK, and are firmly in the top 10 in terms of number of new homes built in 2018/19. After winning countless awards year on year, this company are really going from strength to strength and have work secured for the foreseeable future.

Due to significant work loads, an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Coordinator has now become available within their regional office in Tamworth. The role has real scope for progression, with routes through to Senior level and beyond a clear possibility for those seeking the next step in their career. The role will see you running projects from inception to completion, with the potential to be leading teams whilst doing so.

The ideal Design Coordinator for this role will possess the following skills & qualifications:

·Experienced job runner capable of taking sites & projects from inception through to completion.
·Experience in the procuring and critique of housing layouts.
·Thorough knowledge of UK Building Regs, construction detailing and specification writing.
·Sound knowledge and experience of the full planning process, including preparation, submission and progressing of planning applications to successful conclusion and discharge of planning conditions.
·Demonstrable experience within the house building/residential sector, ideally from working in another housing developer environment.
·Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD

Along with the above, the Design Coordinator will need to be hard-working, punctual and self motivated in order to be successful in this role.
