Lecturer in Architecture
0.4 FTE – Permanent
Salary within the range of £35,211 to £40,792 per annum pro rata
The new Architecture subject area at Suffolk is seeking a UK qualified architect and experienced lecturer to contribute to the delivery of various aspects of new and aspirational BA (Hons) Architecture. The successful candidate will join a highly qualified, diverse team, will assist in professional accreditation, and be expected to play a role in developing the vision of Architecture at Suffolk on postgraduate level and in research.
The successful candidate is anticipated to design and deliver learning, teaching and assessment in a range of modules and must be prepared to offer lab support and practical tuition as well as seminar and lecture-based teaching. We invite applications from practitioners with a track record of relevant expertise in the UK who are aware of ARB/RIBA professional standards and regulations, as well as lecturers that hold sufficient and recent experience in practice. This is a permanent lectureship post which will also entail administrative duties.
At Suffolk we aim to maintain a strong sense of community where students appreciate their sense of place both within their year groups and their specialist area of study. Architecture is based in a purpose-built arts facility with dedicated studios. This is a self-contained building with specialist resources in Ipswich campus of the University of Suffolk.
