Design Manager (Luxury House Buildier)

A luxury high end House builder located in a rural town in North Leeds are currently Recruiting for a Design Manager to join their in-house Design & Engineering department.

Our client, a privately owned enterprise are renowned for creating luxury new homes in hand picked locations throughout Yorkshire and have garnered an enviable reputation throughout their 25 years in business for designing and building quality homes that are individually unique and of the utmost quality.

As a result of planned, new and existing developments the Technical Director is looking to grow the Design Team with the addition of a Design Manager. This position would suit an experienced Architectural professional from either an Architectural Technologist or Project Architect background who has had previous exposure to design, planning and technical aspects within the Residential sector ideally encompassing some new build schemes.

Essentially this role acts as the go between from drawing office to construction site and vice versa - regardless of background required is someone with demonstrable job running experience and the ability to run projects on site from concept through to construction and successful delivery.

Typical other responsibilities will include the preparation of tender documents, production of residential site layouts, solid knowledge of UK Building Regs, ability to compile construction drawings using AutoCAD and supporting other Junior members of the Design team.

Personal attributes include someone who is naturally client facing and confident in chairing site and design progress meetings and of general good character.

Qualifications wise - Ideally degree qualified as either an Architectural Technologist or fully qualified Part 3 Architect, member of either MCIAT or RIBA would be desirable but not essential.

Salary and benefits as follows

£45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience & suitability.
