Urban Designer

JTP is an award winning, international placemaking practice of architects and masterplanners.  

From our studios in London and Edinburgh we undertake placemaking projects at every scale, from cities and towns, to neighbourhoods, streets and the design of individual buildings. 

As architects, masterplanners and placemakers we create new places and breathe life into old ones.  We have shown we practice what we preach in our imaginative reuse and adaptation of the Grade 2 Listed Pennington Street Warehouse in Wapping to create creative, healthy and sustainable studio and collaborative workplace for the practice and our collaborators.

We are really busy creating urban extensions and new settlements at both outline planning and detailed design stages and are looking to recruit an experienced urban designer who is as excited as we are about the creation of new sustainable places. 

The ideal candidate will have 1 – 3 years post qualified experience gained in a design practice working on large scale urban design and masterplanning projects. A background in architecture is highly desirable but not essential. Excellent visual, verbal and written communication skills are important.
