We are searching for an experienced Practice Manager to drive the support functions to a design-led team of Architecture & Urban Design innovators. It is essential that the successful candidate possesses confidence, a keen sense of organisation and time management as well the ability to influence and guide a creative collective.

The importance of this role in the continued smooth running of the workshop cannot be underestimated and the Practice Manager’s remit reflects their integrity to the business. We are seeking an accomplished individual who can demonstrate the full package of administration and operational support experience in the Architecture industry, including HR, finance administration, facilities management, office coordination, recruitment, project scheduling, client liaison, events, marketing, communications and new business. A dynamic and challenging opportunity for an interactive Practice Manager, you will oversee a comprehensive roster of responsibilities and become the ‘go-to’ team member on a multiplicity of tasks. This will include line-managing a support team consisting of a Marketing & Bid Coordinator and Office Administrator.

Reporting to the studio’s Directors, you will provide expert insight in to long-term operations by setting key objectives, particularly in the areas of HR and Administration. In addition, the Practice Manager will diligently plan the annual practice budget, liaising closely with external Consultants from the fields of Accountancy, PR and IT to make regular budgetary recommendations. As a public-facing Ambassador of the practice, it is essential that you maintain a calm, confident, diplomatic and professional approach always, both in the workspace and whilst externally representing the company at industry fairs, conference and seminars.

Promoting an inclusive, respectful and upbeat working culture is vital; you will be foremost in sharing the studio’s values and ethos, maintaining high levels of staff morale and happiness. Taking a prime role in improving systems and initiatives for efficiency will also factor highly.
