A highly respected team of Architecture and Urban Design visionaries is searching for an exceptional Practice Manager. This is a vital role within the studio space and will require an accomplished, confident, positive and unflappable individual familiar with a creative office culture and the processes involved. The Practice Manager will not only be responsible for a diverse remit but will be expected to take full ownership of the role and its importance to this multi award-winning company’s continued success.

Reporting to two distinguished Principals and line-managing a tight-knit Admin team, the Practice Manager will provide analysis, insight and strategies to meet pivotal business objectives relating to HR, Studio Management and maintain a clear oversight of Marketing and New Business activities. A key conduit between the team and external aids, you will manage the building premises, IT systems and policies by liaising regularly with IT Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers and Accountants. You will possess a sharp eye for detail and be able to anticipate any potential issues before they arise, overseeing the annual practice budget, making recommendations and managing daily finances, including accounts payable/receivable and updating Accounting systems.

Considered and positive communication and presentation skills are a must, the Practice Manager will very much be the public face of the company and will have the opportunity to represent the studio at industry fairs, conferences and seminars. Equally, the Practice Manager’s ability to maintain a positive studio environment by lifting team spirit, creating positivity and high morale as well as promoting a fun and lively atmosphere will be essential.

Diplomacy, professionalism, proactivity and outstanding time management skills are all key characteristics we are searching for in the successful candidate. An inspiring and rewarding role at the heart of a design team, this is a career-defining chance to support and guide a talented team of designers and share in their future successes.
