Residential layout designer - Wolverhampton - Permanent - Up to £50,000

We are currently working with an award winning consultancy of whom are currently recruiting for a residential layout designer/Senior Architect to join their design team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

As a Residential layout designer you will have substantial experience working for a new build developer or Architects Practice. As a Residential layout designer you will produce Feasibility Schemes for a variety of clients understanding their individual aspirations in line with the client's philosophy and design brief. You will also liaise with the necessary statutory bodies and stakeholders as required to ensure design concepts can be translated into workable development solutions. Your role will require you to maximise land values through good and innovative design as well as monitor the progress of planning applications and the subsequent release of planning conditions. You will use Adobe Photoshop and SketchUp to produce presentation materials.


What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed as a Residential layout designer you will have experience designing residential layouts of varying sizes, not only in hand drawn sketch format but also be able to transfer the sketch to full AutoCAD planning layouts. As an experienced Architect / Layout Designer you will already be working on your own initiative engaging directly with clients and planning authorities. You will be capable of producing quick and efficient hand drawn sketch feasibility layouts and be able to prepare and submit Planning Applications, negotiating with Local Planning Authorities to ensure approval is obtained. A sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations and a good working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.

In return you will be offered a generous salary of up to £50,000 per year.
